CulturePolis, represented by Dionysia Koutsi, on 25-27 of June 2019 attended Perugia, at the first training seminar as well as the second partner meeting of OHAS, which is an ERASMUS+ project. The project is being carried out in cooperation with Partners from Poland, Italy and Bulgaria, with the educational program being implemented by the organisation Culture Without Borders, based in Poland.
The training seminar lasted two days aimed at training the representatives of the partners and 5 other employees of various cultural sites (museums, open archaeological sites and galleries) based in Greece (4 from each partner country) on issues of accessibility to cultural sites. More specifically, CulturePolis was accompanied by the following:
- Mrs. Matietta Lappa from the Tactual Museum of Athens
- Mrs. Antonia Tzanavara from the Municipal Art Gallery of Corinth
- Mrs. Marina Papasotiriou from the National Gallery, Corfu Branch
- Mrs. Maria Kagiadaki from the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Thessaloniki
- Mrs. Kalliopi Ghika from the Tactual Museum of Athens
The training included the familiarization of participants in various forms of disability such as hearing, vision, motor problems as well as in the general context of autistic people through interactive workshops and working groups. We have been given the opportunity to exchange views and good practices with participants from other countries, to discuss and design with a view to improving accessibility to cultural sites.
At the same time on the last day of the mission, the meeting of the project partners took place, where the actions to date were discussed, as well as the next steps for the effective and sustainable course of the project. At the next meeting we are pleased to welcome the partners in Corfu in October.
